Natural Bush Mulch

This earthy arborist mulch is a winner on many levels. As our most inexpensive or “budget” mulch it has a coarse, “natural bush” look and is an entirely natural product.

It houses lots of texture and a multitude of different browns and tans, which give visual depth. Mulch used on your garden beds will help to retain moisture and protect the underlying soils from erosion.

Mushroom Mulch / Compost

Our mushroom mulch is a powerful, rich alkaline product which makes an excellent addition for garden bed toppings. It has an excellent nutritional value as it breaks down over time.

Natural Eucalyptus Mulch

Our quality eucalyptus mulch is perfect for native and general landscapes, slopes and embankments, saving water, reducing weeds and regulating soil temperature. This mulch contains a large proportion of fines and gives a deep, dark brown colour to your landscape.

Some gardeners seek out eucalyptus mulch around prized plants in hopes that it will be toxic to pests and to weeds. This is because eucalyptus trees are among a group of plants that contain the compounds known as allelochemicals, which have negative effects on some other living things. Theoretically, if mulch from eucalyptus bark and lumber is put around mature plants, the mulch will prevent weed seedlings from growing while also repelling predatory insects. The toxicity from such mulch is relatively short-lived.

Moisture Mulch

As the name implies, this mulch is a fabulously rich mulch that will help retain the moisture in your soil and protect it from the elements. Moisture mulch is a decomposing blue gum / hammered hardwood from 0-16mm.

It is an ideal soil conditioner and excellent all rounder mulch suitable for all gardens.

Black Mulch

Our coloured black mulch is made from recycled wood chippings dyed with a natural black oxide. Mulch used on your garden beds will help to retain moisture and protect the underlying soils from erosion.

This product can stain on surfaces such as concrete but offers a striking look with a really rich and lustrous feel.

Red Mulch

Our coloured red mulch is made from recycled wood chippings dyed with a natural red oxide. Mulch used on your garden beds will help to retain moisture and protect the underlying soils from erosion.

This product can stain on surfaces such as concrete but offers a striking look that will brighten up any garden bed.

Cow Manure

Composted cow manure fertilizer makes an excellent growing medium for garden plants. When turned into compost and fed to plants and vegetables, cow manure becomes a nutrient-rich fertilizer. It can be mixed into the soil or used as top dressing.

Cow manure tends to have a low nutrient analysis because, like sheep manure, it comes from animals grazing on grass. This makes it great as a general-purpose soil conditioner, and great for phosphorous-sensitive native plants when it is well rotted.

When using manure, remember to dig it into the garden as soon as possible. If it is left sitting on the surface, much of the nitrogen, can be lost as ammonia gas. Just fork it into the topsoil and the nitrogen will be available, in the short term, for any leafy vegetables. The beautiful organic matter will break down and build up the nutrient and water-holding capacity in the soil. It’s good stuff and very popular with our customers!

Soft Fall Mulch

Available in bulk only (6m3 plus) Soft fall mulch makes a big difference to safety in playgrounds when children take a fall and it helps to level out uneven surface areas. This decorative garden mulch is made from a fine 15mm graded pine bark mulch and is nontoxic and safe for children to play in.
